Stair Hole West Lulworth
Stair Hole in Dorset can be found at West Lulworth, it is sign posted as 200 yards from near the main car park. It is quite a steep climb along the gravel path, though for those with walking difficulties you may find it easier to head towards the beach and half way down the village road cut up and across the green area in front of the row of white terraced cottages this is also a good picnic area for families as it is a small field!

Another route to stair hole can be found to the right of the main launch ramp on the lulworth beach but beware this option is very steep steps and not ideal for families, anyone with walking difficulties, the disabled or the elderly.

There is no longer any access on foot down to its tiny beach as it has been roped off. Though you can arrange a kyak tour from Lulworth Cove.
From the top of the cliff walk you can view theĀ folding limestone strata known as Lulworth crumple this can also be seen at the eastern end of lulworth cove.
Stair hole is gradually eroding away and in time it is likely to form a similar shell shaped cove like lulworth!
