Emergency Facilities: No but the Air Sea Rescue helicopter is based at Portland and the lifeboat station is in Weymouth harbour.

Safe for Kids: yes as long as they are supervised, rocks can become slippery when wet
Facilities: Toilets in the Nothe Gardens, small icecream stall by the beach.
Parking: There is pay-and-display car parking Access from Rodwell Avenue in Rodwell area of Weymouth or by walking over the main bridge in Weymouth and into the harbour area near Brewers Quay Signposted from there. Carparking, Disabled spaces and coach spaces available, Car park is flat.
Public Transport: Bus stops near Brewers Quay in Weymouth
Walking: Nothe Gardens above the beach which surround the Nothe Fort, or along the coastal path to Sandsfoot Castle, Sandsfoot Cove and Ferrybridge at the Fleet which backs onto Chesil beach.
Excellent views over Portland Harbour and the Weymouth Bay. Probably the closest location to the Portland Harbour Wall without being in a boat!
