Lyme Regis Cobb Wall
The famous Cobb harbour wall can not be accessed by the disabled and is not ideal walking conditions for anyone who is not sure footed, due to the slope and gradient of the wall and the surface being of all different levels., The top of the wall is not flat or level. You can  climb up to walk on the wall by using one of the many sets of steps though some of them are not for the faint hearted to use! There is a pathway running alongside the wall for wheelchair users though the ground is cobbled stones of various shapes and sizes. There is plenty of seating surrounding the wall closer to the harbour entrance, but nothing on the actual wall there are not any hand railings to help with climbing the steps of the wall.. The wall is not suitable for children unless being supervised by adults due to the height of it, the wall is potentially a hazzard to children near the edge and the Dorset Guide recommends that young children are not allowed to run ahead as a fall into the sea on the outerside or onto the cobbled path on the inner side could result in serious injuries, however with all suitable precautions the Cobb is an experience not to be missed and the views accrss Lyme Regis over to Charmouth and as far as Portland are wonderful.
