Lyme Regis Fossil Festival 22nd - 24th May 2009

Lyme Regis will be hosting its fossil festival once again, The Natural History Museum from London will be taking part and anyone who is anyone involved in the world of science is likely to be there.
All kinds of activities, stalls, stands, activities and experts will be available providing information.
The Natural History Museum is one of the key sponsors this year. You can go and talk to their expertsabout entomology, botany, mineralogy, palaeontology and more. Telephone links to the Darwin Centre will be available so you can chat with the experts there as well! 2009 celebrates the 200th anniversary of Darwins birth.
The National Museum of Wales are bringing examples from the Jackson Collection of fossils and the British Antartic Survery will be displaying meteorite and Jurassic fossils that scientists have recovered from Antarctica.
Bournemouth University are offering 3d laser scans of your own fossils so you can see what they would look like in 3D
Plymouth University, will be showing a display of Fossils from the Sout West of England and presenting an interactive display.
The Isle of Wight will be bringing along some of its collection which was found on the island.
